Sega did it with the original PSO servers way back when effectively forcing everyone to move onto PSO Ep 1&2
SOE are destined to do it with Star Wars Galaxies * although maybe not they may just do another server merger

I liked PSO spent so much time on that, even played a little of the BB version on some user private servers for PC XD

I played them all from Dreamcast to PC would probably play PSO BB now but have lost access to the servers due to inactivity. I used to help run psoquest.com back in the day :lol: the game is probably not to most peoples liking here but it was fun and was the first online rpg I played and the community was great!

Except SWG wasn't only 4 months old.

Also APB in my eyes was no where near a MMO game. Period. The game is like saying Battlefield BC2 took 4 years to make, then 4 months later they shut down the official stats tracking and official servers....

Wow... I never expected them to pull the cord so quickly. Next time they should stop scratching their balls and actually work on the game. i was excited for this game when we first heard about it on the beta. Then it slowly died down, now its completely dead.

They fixed it weeks ago. First major patch.

Now there is talk that Epic may take over.
