Why do I/we want a game division?

You can play, talk about, organize or pontificate any game you want with CP. A Game Division has the full support of CP administration, such as graphics, forum space, events, webspace, active recruitment and other perks.
  1. In order for new games to be introduced into CyberneticPunks, it must first be approved by Core.
  2. Once it is approved and added, it has 1 to 2 months to increase membership to the required minimum of 15 pledges (Primary pledges are worth 1 point, secondary is worth 0.5).
  3. Time allowed is determined by Development. (Generally 30 - 60 days for a released game, longer for pre-release)
  4. Once 15 are obtained the Development department will then decide when it will be released as a fully supported division and who the division leader will be.

Process

1: Become a Division Advocate:

Division Advocate is a volunteer position. There can be multiple Division Advocates. These people are recruiting, promoting and generally organizing the community for this game. They work with site admins to get things they need, like member apps, promotion materials, etc. Contact a CnP Admin for more information.

2: Create a Roster in the forum for that game.

Create a thread, make a list. Ask people to join with you. They will have to make that game their primary or secondary game when the pledge window comes around (Every 30 days).

During this time the division is in probationary status.

Note: People can belong to only 2 games as primary or secondary. You can play anything you want, anytime you want, but you only have 2 games that you can be signed up for. (this keeps games from having and artificially high player count that never play.)
4: Division Leader is selected

The Division Leader is chosen only after the game has become supported. They are chosen out of the Division Advocates. The DAs are basically competing for this spot if they wish to see it this way. The final decision is made by the administration, who designate the DL dependent on activity, leadership ability, coin toss, etc.

Existing Divisions

Games supported by CyberneticPunks are required to hold a minimum of 10 primary members. Any game that falls below 10 primary members will be placed on probation. They will remain on probation for 30-60 days. They are expected to raise membership to 10 or more primary members. If they fail to increase to 10 primary members by the deadline set forth, they risk being discontinued as a Division by CyberneticPunks.
