How do we know what divisions are active, etc?

You help us decide where we focus our effort. We do this by monthly statistics.
Members Vote: Choose your Primary and Secondary Game

Each user has a Primary and Secondary Game profile field. This field will be used by members to designate which Game Division they are actively involved with.

You can find it in Settings > Edit Profile > Primary and Secondary Games.

How much is my vote worth?

A Primary vote is worth 1 point, a Secondary vote is worth 0.5 points.

When can I vote?

Every 30 days, a PM is sent out, Edit the user profile fields are erased and there is a 7 day period where users can change their Primary and Secondary profile field. This field is locked the rest of the time. Users must wait for this period to change. Counting won't take place until the end of the 7 day period.

Division Process

Administrators Core and Division Leads will then have access to a roster where they can see who is in what groups and primary and secondary.

Currently, a NEW division must have 15 pledge points to be established. An existing Division must have 10 pledge points to avoid going into probation.

Why do we do this?

Simple. There are only so many administrators. And we don't play every game. We need some way to know where to put resources and track how our members feel about certain games. If people want to play game X we want to know that. If no one is play game Y anymore, we want to know that, too.

What if I am on vacation, afk, sick, etc during the 7 day period?

Let us know in the AFK forum. We can put you in. Please don't abuse this.

What if I am very new and just missed the window?

New members should have been asked to fill out the profile fields when they signed up on the forum.

What if I changed my mind and want to switch games between voting periods?

Be patient.

If I didn't vote for game X can I still play game X, be in the in game guild, wear a tag, etc.

That is up to the Division Leader(s). But generally, Yes!

What if I don't play any of these games?

The choices are for Currently Supported Game Divisions. These are games that we have an in-game presence for that is organized by other players, like you. If you don't see a game you want to play, don't worry. We probably play those games, too. It just isn't "organized" game play. (No leader per se, casual gameplay).

Another option, is applying to start your own gaming division!

You do not have to pick anything. Nothing will happen to you if you don't. You're still a member. We don't tell people what games to play here. This is just to tell us who is active in a Game Division. If you're not interested in a current or upcoming game we have a division for, that is fine. We still have lots of games to play and people to play games with.

Ok so I went and picked the games that applied to me but neither of them are out and i do not play any of the others on the list, but i came in on Global agenda I don't know what happend to my GA tag

No worries. The official CnP Global Agenda Game Division was dissolved by Squirrellies.

We still have people playing GA, just under different Agencies.

If you don't have a game you want to choose, there should be a none option.

It'll be fine, plenty more games out to play with us until the next big one.

I get that you want the CP divisions to be represented strongly but we're missing tons of great games that we could put teams together for. Also we should have a community gamer tag and maybe we can get some weekly game nights like the Star Wars one but with things like GA, TF2 , Borderlands, L4D, CSS and other PC multi-player for those who don't want to be involved in those games listed. It will also be a good way to get the community gaming together and not just gaming. with their main game teams.

Global Agenda is far from dead and we could easily still have 10-15 active members, Also EQ2 Ex not sure of the numbers or who will stick it out but that could be another option as a stopgap game..

Problem being, as we all play these, not all of them have a full time committed scene behind them. That's where, the great post Aproxy put together about starting a division came up. If you think you can establish a full time, solid group of 15+, let us know.

Great! Who will step up and re-start the GA division?? I put up a post in July asking for people to step and help out Squirrellies. He also stated in the Agency MOTD that it was no longer active, so this should come as no surprise if you have logged in recently. Is this not the state of GA? If the situation is different let me know.

Again, I want to play this perfectly clear: Anyone can play any game they want. Anytime. You can organize game nights, tournaments, etc. This hasn't changed.

To be a supported Game Division, however, we need to know that when people apply to be a member, they have an active agency/guild/clan that they are joining or at the very least, is trying to be. That is to say, we put our name on games that at least a minimum of people play in an organized fashion.

Let me also be clear: You do not have to pick anything. Nothing will happen to you if you don't. You're still a member. This is just to tell us who is active in a Game Division.
