Tribes Beta

I know some of you guys aren't too fond of Hi-Rez studios. I have had the opportunity to meet some other their graphic designers and see them each year they show up at Quakecon. This year we had a great time and played Tribes:Ascend. I just received my Beta key today and will be playing. If anyone else gets their key, let me know. It would be fun to frag with some other people I actually know.

I've been waiting to get in but still waiting. If no one else speaks up for the key I would throw my self in the ring for a shot at it. The original tribes was amazing and I have been waiting for this game for a long time.

If you don't get a key, you can also pre-order the game for $30. It gives you 3k gold and double xp for 15 days along with beta access. The 3k gold is pretty useful if you want to unlock other loadouts besides the 2 initial ones. Also all progress made in beta moves over into live; there is no wipe.

What exactly do you expect with a F2P game? You can pay the same price as a normal game and have all of the classes, or spend a good amount of time grinding to obtain all the classes for free.
