About LinkBacksPAX 2010: ArenaNet announces Guild Wars 2 app for smartphones and iPad - Massively
Not to much was said but it does look interesting can keep track of your friends and message them in-game while your at work.
Today the Guild Wars 2 developers unveiled that team's current project: Guild Wars 2 for smartphones and the iPad. The project isn't completed, but it's already very extensive. Players will have the ability to check their friends lists, follow their friends on the map, message their friends, and move around the world on their characters.

Being able to chat with your ingame friends on a mobile messenger is awesome.
Blizzard, are you taking note? I'd love a Battle.net chat app.

There is a Starcraft 2 app either out now or coming out. I would love to see a battle.net messenger as well. EQ had one for the pc/mac that allowed you to do a lot of different things.
