I was at Gamestop and they had one of those interviews/previews going of GW2, and it did NOT do it justice. It actually discouraged me from wanting to purchase the game.

Oh I see what you mean by butchered, yeah as former management of Gamestop they are only trying to protect their money. How are they trying to protect their money you ask? By encouraging everyone to become a consoletard. Why consoletards? Well until digital downloading of games straight to consoles becomes popular, Gamestop will do anything to cater to their money. Why also make a F2P MMO look bad? How else is GS supposed to make money if players can just play this one game and be content. Not saying that this game will be enough for everyone but one person will possibly play this game till its dead. If GS can turn PC gaming against itself and make consoles the only way to play, then people like Bobby Kotick can increase the price of games to whatever they desire.

Im started to get pissed over the support some games are getting to be Console only. For example, F1 2010. Its available for PC, 360 and PS3. There is a catch though; for pc its only available through digital download and you would only get a box if you preordered the game. This is my main reason for not buying the game, specially when they asked codemasters why that is, they said "because the PC market is dieing"

It's more the fact that in this economy, you have to cut corners to save money. Hiring a someone to continue turn out boxes for a extended period of time costs money. Where as a digital download host is about 1/5 the cost. Not to mention the console market is bigger and is easier to develop for console then it is PC.
