TO ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE INSTALLED VINDICTUS (PREVIOUSLY OR CURRENTLY):
Make sure to delete "Pando Media Booster" via the Control Panel 'Programs and Features'. It silently uses bandwidth, both download and upload, without telling you. It can cause network instability and high pings. Delete it immediately.

Make sure that you have deleted Pando Media Booster via the Control Panel 'Programs and Features'. It gets installed with all Nexon games and silently uses your bandwidth, both upload and download, without consent. Also, it is completely unneeded and will not alter game functionality if removed. Delete it immediately. You should see an improvement in network stability after it's removal.

Go4tfi5h lives in the Rockies and has been playing on the East server with minimal lag. He was experiencing large burst/delays prior to removing Pando Media Booster. While you won't have a full 5 bar connection, you should be able to play.

It's worth giving it another shot after deleting Pando Media Booster.

After I installed Vindictus, I noticed my ping on Ventrilo jumped from 20ms to 250ms+. It continued to bounce all over the place and web page browsing became slow. I had read about Pando Media Booster a while back on Reddit, so when I checked my processes and saw it running, I had my "ah-hah" moment. Running a Network test revealed that Pando Media Booster was consuming almost all of my Upload speed while subsequently biting into my Download. Immediately after removing Pando Media Booster, my pings returned to normal.

Pando Media Booster also gets installed with LOTRO:

Pando Media Booster that comes with the LOTRO downloaded uses up all of your effective upload bandwidth as it seeds files to other clients. It comes with the LOTRO downloader and I never recall being prompted to allow it to use my bandwidth.

I resubbed to LOTRO last week.

Since I resubbed, I noticed I was pinging very badly in games, and ping tests reported that I had incredibly high ping and jitter. I checked my internet usage over the past week, and I used up 70GB of bandwidth in less than 7 days. I downloaded a network monitor and kept closing applications until I found the culprit: Pando Media Booster.

I am Canadian and have a 95GB cap each month. This little application will have cost me upwards of $30. That's enough for 3 months of LOTRO.

That's 3 months Turbine won't be seeing.

I am handing this out as a warning to others. Uninstall Pando Media Booster right away.

tl;dr: Pando Media Booster uses up all of your available Upload to seed out files to clients. It causes heavy network instability and high in game pings. Delete it immediately: it is NOT needed to run any of the games/downloaders.

I also have Pando booster but I was under the impression you needed it for a few web applications as well as games? Am I mistaken? Cause if so I'm getting rid of that shit ASAP.
