I've met plenty of girls that play games, but I can honestly say I've never met a true "girl gamer." Say what you will about it, but if ever there was a girl that was actually skilled at a game, I haven't met her. I'm not saying they don't exist, or that women are inherently "bad at video games," but every girl I've met has been. Blame WoW.

As for sexism in video games... play WoW for a year and it's hard to not understand why it exists. In most of the guilds I was in, in those rare blocks of time I actually raided, there was always some girl there, terrible at her job, that someone had a boner for. She would always get a bunch of loot, despite being terrible. Bad experiences lead to negative mindsets. It's not sexist if it's true.

Eh I used to play Counter Strike with some girls that actually had some talent. I also played NS with a water donkey that was absolutely terrible. Its the equivalent of a really shitty vampire, All of the weaknesses with none of the sweet super powers.

Just because a girl is dumpy doesn't make her good.

One of the two WoW guilds i played in was lead my a female gamer, led raids and what not. We were one of the top horde guild in vanilla and was the best of the 2 guild i was in. As long as you dont have ass hats that are all like... well your a girl so you suck at this... things are golden.

Blarg....You fail if you try to make the exception to the rule, the rule itself. The rule "there are very few girl gamers in comparison to male gamers, of those girls who play MMO type games (games using a vent system or alot of chatting) most are drawn to the game not because of the game play or combat system, but because of the social aspects of the game. Most girls suck at video games."

Girls like to talk, they like to hear themselves talk, they like to talk about their ungame related problems. They also know in a world overpopulated by men (game world) they will get special treatment. And we will listen to their bullshit because they are a girl playing a game and they are a rare thing. Now a few of you might know exeptions to this rule I might know a couple myself but the are the exception!


If we have girls in CP I would hope that we only find the exceptions. And yes I would perfer the waterdonkey if she was really good. Or mabey the attention whore if she live next door. Just remember what happened with The Beattles. THe Beattle= pure win.....after a girl.....Wings = pure gay.

There are exceptions; take my GF, she doesn't talk on vent, doesn't really chit chat in /guild, but she is the only girl i know that can Tank,Heal, and DPS exceptionally well by even "male gamer" standards. She is kinda vindictive and if your a dick will let the party wipe several times to trash (but that's another story for another time)

Most girls i played wow with were masters of bitchcraft; buttering up officers, spreading personalized wank material, and getting all the shit they ever wanted without even a dice roll!!! i've been /gkicked for not passing to one of these monsters before!!! i was a sword rogue and she was a [sucky]dagger rogue and i wouldn't pass her a sword (some more !!!)
