Arovien is right, against an M & M ball going Collosus/High Templar is you best bet for a counter. Zealot/Stalker might not be enough since Marauders can micro effectively against zealots and are also very good against stalkers. Getting a nice sentry mix in there to keep the marauders from retreating is an even better idea, and in which case your zealots can go crazy killing those Mar's.
because i can't watch the replay since the game is patching at the moment, I'm going to recommend you watch this game with commentary on it by Husky.
Its a great PvT and a great example of how you should fight against a terrain as protoss

Personally what I do almost everytime and when playing terran is rush to stalkers then rush to high templars and rush to warpgates (gateway upgrade whatever its called). I'll post replays and show you why. And by 7 minutes i usually have at least 1 expansion, 3 zealots 2 sentries 3 HT's and maybe 9 stalkers. They usually have a shit ton of siege tanks marauders and marines. 2 Storms and they usually quit befor the little skirmish is over

P v T is my best match up.. I am a Diamond level protoss, i have yet to loose to a terran that goes MMM or marine ghost builds. My bane is currently tank marine raven but if youd like some help message me ingame username Zcorp code 228.

I find that early immortals are a great choice vs any terran with a maurder heavy army, if the tend to have a lot of marines then charge lots into collosi works great or going all the way to HT is also a great choice.
The biggest thing is not dumping your money in units you dont need and im mostly refering to stalkers and immortals here, stalkers are a great protoss unit but a maurader counters it rather well, not to say take them out of your comp 100% but try to find a nice balance well adding on more immortal.

I would say the three keys to defeating Terran unit-wise are: having a good even mix of gateway units early (sentry, stalker, zlot), getting charge on your zlots early/mid game, and teching to HTs for mid/late game

Diversity is one of the most important aspects of the protoss army, from early game all the way to late game (with the possible exception of early-game pvp).
cone0 is pretty much spot on though. The best way to deal with the MMM ball is to tech to high templars. However, I wouldn't recommend this if you're still only on one base. Make sure you have a few sentries at the top of your ramp, and hotkey them so that they can FF if the terran tries to run up and you're not yet ready. Spread them out to prevent them from all being EMPed at once. I usually tech to chargelots as soon as I can and push out of my base as soon as the research is done. With a zealot-heavy army and good use of FF, you can catch the MMM ball off guard and secure your expansion. After this, make sure you have observers in their base. If they keep going MMM, continue with HTs. Use their Feedback (F) on the medivacs and psy storm (T) on the MMM ball. Just remember there will probably be a bit of a delay as the HTs get in range. Once you have a decent amount of HTs it is pretty much GG for the terran if they switch to mech (and thors get destroyed by feedback anyways). Oh, and make sure you have some immortals if he's got tanks. Immortals+chargelots+HT destroy most terran armies imo.
I know this topic is pretty old, but I just wanted to share some of my pvt strategies. Happy storming!
