This guide along with videos will show you how to sufficiently "wall in" your base as a Terran player in Starcraft 2. This is the updated version listing other options besides just the supply depot.
You want to wall the entrance of your base base with 2 Barracks, or 1 Barracks and a Command Center. Other wall-in's include: Barracks and Factory at top OR bottom of your ramp, and Barracks bunker walls. You don’t want to use Supply Depos because they have very little hit points and are too easily destroyed by Baneling Busts. This video shows the structure of the wall and some excellent Pro Terran play.
