    Ventrilo Tracker

This is really just cosmetic thing that may add a bit more functionality and organization.

    A Ventrilo tracker.

Its a pretty simple little thing to have either on the front page or somewhere on the forum. It will allow people to see who is on vent. This also advertises that your community is active.

This could be implemented pretty simply just by slotting in the link with the BBcode on the front page. My suggestion for position would be under the Latest Guide RSS. This would cover the blank area and also be un-intrusive.

As we actually are two different entities. Being CnP being our news and info side, and CP Guild being our other. You will most likely not see a Public Ventrilo section. All this really does is allow anyone we don't want to know who's on, a inside look to whos on.

Seems a bit backwards to me. One would think you'd want to drive more people to the forum as its a base of action for your members and vent is secondary format of communication.

But I guess really you guy would only want people on the forums for news/announcement purposes, right. Your not really driving recruitment numbers, as you already have the numbers.

Here's an example... In Global Agenda, its sometimes a good idea for opponents to be wondering how many people you have on at certain times (attacking and defending). If they can tell at a quick glance how many people we have online, that would put us at an unnecessary disadvantage.

This sort of information is even more damaging in games like EVE Online (not that we are active in that game) but public access to information like that is more damaging than useful in my opinion.

seams to be pretty clear that this aint happening but just wanna show my support to the anit side of this idea. The only positive thing this would ever give is that people can see you have an active vent and join because of that but tbh we'd rather want the guys who come anyways even tho it doesn't "look like a good place to hang on"

I can definitely see your point there.
