Recent posts (Extendable)

Hey guys,

One thing I'd suggest is a scrollable "Recent Posts" section. Sometimes I'm away for several hours and miss the 30 threads being discussed.. I'd like to see a history of all the threads which have been posted on.. all the ones I havent viewed yet.

Same thing with the chat box.. any way to expand that so I dont have to click on the history button a buncha times?

You mean something like the "New Posts" link found under the "Home" link?

And I agree with increasing the history on the chatbox. It is way too small at the moment.

We'll see about increasing the chatbox. Problem being is we'd really like posts rather then chats which increasing the chat box kinda limits that. The new post button will take you to a list of all unread posts since your last visit.

Like Riva mentions if we were to add lets say 10 more latest posts in that chatbox area that box would be so large and a bit overwhelming. As he said you can just click on latest posts and view them that way, although I know that chatbox option is nice because its right there.

Is it just that the latest post Icon is just to hidden in general?

I don't like the new post thing because it resets when you log out. If i only log on to check one thing and the go to team liquid and come back all the new posts are erased. There are ways around this like not closing the window and what not but i'm on 2 or 3 computers a day so I may not be on the same computer when i come back. Can't it just give me unread posts until i hit a reset button or i've read them all? Not a HUGE deal just saying its hard to know what has and hasn't been updated.

You can actually make the chatbox smaller and just make the scroll ability longer.

The recent posts is a huge thing for me.. I'm not saying making a huge list.. just simply a link to a page with every thread which as been updated/posted on since you've last viewed it

Yeah we aren't asking for a larger viewing area of the chatbox; just the ability for it to hold more history before having to check the archive. Nothing is more annoying than having to click through 3-4 pages to see one line of text to make sense of what people are talking about it the chatbox.

And Squirrellies, is what I linked to in my first comment in this thread not what you are looking for?
