Gamify
I know we already have a form of experience leveling and achievements on the site and they are pretty good, but I was recently looking into a new type of "leveling" forum add-on called gamify. This is a constantly updating great add-on that not only is aimed at making a website more fun for the average user, but is also good for keeping them on a website for longer, and has features that I have not seen before that I find interesting.
Some of the features we have but I'll go over it all anyways,
- Your own avatar (but there are virtual goods options that can be added like special addons to said avatar)
- Leaderboards that can be shared on facebook to see who's ahead of who
the usual points and leveling but they have also intergrated coupon and facebook credit rewards for draws or competitions that can be held on the site for whatever reason.
- Discovery style gaming where new content added counts as experience so every page on a site or "hidden" links can give you achievements for being the first to find it, or just more xp for your avatar.
It seems like a very clean, fun and continually updated option for the site that could help generate returning forum readers or even keep new ones on the site longer. If you want to check it out, head over to Gamify | The Gamification Platform

Re: Gamify
Interesting Daemon, I'll look into this and show Aproxy as well and see what he thinks. Its definitely has some nice features.
Update - After looking into it more I'm not sure its able to work with vBulletin. Aproxy will have to check it out.

Its platform independent.

Re: Gamify
Yeah, I just find the setup really good, and it will definitely have people surfing all over the site for xp, and the idea you can get virtual rewards and goods really could have a neat effect.

Re: Gamify
I've seen it/used it (or something like it) in the past. It was a great addition.
